Innovaficient Translation for Sheets

1. Overview

Innovaficient Translation for Sheets (“the Add-on”) is a Google Workspace Marketplace™ add-on that enables users to translate spreadsheet labels, menus, and sheet names using a structured dictionary and user-defined language packs.

The Add-on is free to install and use. Optional language packs and upgrade codes may be purchased externally via various vendors (eg Gumroad™).

This Privacy Policy explains what information we access, how it is used, and how it is protected.

This Add-on operates entirely within the user’s Google Workspace environment and does not export user data except as explicitly described.

2. Information We Access

The Add-on accesses and processes Google user data obtained through Google Workspace APIs using the minimum OAuth scopes necessary to provide its functionality.

Specifically, the Add-on may:

2.1 Access the active spreadsheet

Read and modify cell values, sheet names, and metadata
Insert menus and UI elements
Write translation results to user-selected cells

No data is transmitted to Innovaficient unless the user enters a Pack Code (section 2.3).

All spreadsheet data is processed transiently within the user’s Google environment and is not stored or transmitted to Innovaficient servers.

2.2 Access the user’s email address

This is used solely for:

License activation
Logging Pack Code usage
Verifying ownership of a purchased language pack

The user’s email address is not used for any purpose other than license management and is not retained beyond what is required for license validation records.

No marketing emails are sent.

No email data is shared with any third party.

2.3 Optional License / Pack Code Logging

If a user enters a Pack Code (purchased via a vendor such as Gumroad™), the Add-on may send:

The user’s Google account email
The Pack Code entered
A generated serial number
Timestamp of activation

to Innovaficient’s server for the purpose of license validation and fraud prevention only.

No spreadsheet content, translation data, or personal files are ever transmitted.

2.4 Google User Data Usage

The Add-on accesses Google user data strictly for the purpose of providing its core functionality within Google Sheets™.

Specifically:

Spreadsheet data (cell values, sheet names, and metadata) is accessed and processed in real time to perform user-requested translations.
User email address is accessed solely for license activation and validation.

Google user data is:

Not used for advertising purposes
Not sold or transferred to third parties
Not used for profiling or analytics
Not used for training artificial intelligence or machine learning models

All data access is limited to what is necessary to deliver the Add-on’s functionality and is performed in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

The Add-on does not:

Upload spreadsheet data
Access Google Drive files other than the active sheet
Collect payment information
Track user behavior
Use cookies
Sell or share any data with third parties
Use data for advertising

The Add-on does not:

Retain Google Sheets data outside of the active session
Use Google user data for any secondary purpose beyond core functionality
Transfer Google user data to external systems except as explicitly described in Section 2.3 (license validation)

4. How We Store and Protect Data

License activation logs (email + serial + Pack Code) may be stored securely on Innovaficient servers.

We use:

HTTPS for data transmission
Industry-standard authentication
Access logging
Strict internal access controls

License-related data (email, serial number, Pack Code, timestamp) is retained only as long as necessary for license validation and fraud prevention, and is deleted upon user request or when no longer required for operational purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

Purchases of Pack Codes occur through various vendors (eg Gumroad ™), which operates entirely separately from the Add-on. Vendors such as Gumroad™ has its own privacy policy and does not send payment information to Innovaficient.

6. User Control & Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their license activation record at any time by contacting:

7. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Add-on indicates acceptance of the latest version.

8. Compliance with Google Policies

This application complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data is used exclusively to provide and improve user-facing features within the Add-on and is not used for any other purpose.
